If by "the site" you mean SOTCAA, well it has vanished, hasn't it? It's not here. It's gone.
The Corpses have got somebody to copy it and put it up as a temporary mirror somewhere else while they work out what to do.
Nobody ever said Rob was going to destroy the actual content of the web pages known as SOTCAA so that they could never be seen by the naked eye again. What are you talking about?
ANd as for all this stuff about the Corpses "allowing" their supporters to do this, that and the other, well, come on. People write what they want on the forum. The Corpses didn't start (or indeed contribute) to any of the tribute/slagging off Rob sites. A public apology? For what? Being taken off Not BBC? For their fans not being entirely happy about this? What the fuck are you talking about?
I think you've missed the point a bit. Firstly, the Comedy Forum thread seemed pretty nasty to me. If the Corpses were that upset, then why didn't they sort it out with Rob privately?
Also, the Corpses were very coy about the new site being on comedynet before the NOTBBC version was shut down. They also made no attempt to reassure their supporters (or indeed, everyone that comes on the forum) that SOTCAA would continue to exist after the NOTBBC version was shut down. For the site to appear so quickly on comedynet, some work must have been going on behind the scenes at least some days before. There was nothing to stop the Corpses making an announcement anticipating the site's relaunch.
The Corpses profess to want to still be friends with Rob, but they have certainly made no attempt to defend his decision. After all, Rob built the site and maintained it; and anyone who runs a site of this size knows it's not necessarily easy. If Rob decides that he can no longer give the project the attention it deserves, then that is his decision. He's been hosting SOTCAA for a long time, so it seems reasonable to assume that the decision wasn't easy. He's also been keeping his replies to people dignified, even though people have been very unpleasant about him without knowing all the facts.
At least Matty thinks he's done the right thing, although what she means by that I can't imagine.....
>The Corpses didn't start (or indeed contribute) to any of the tribute/slagging off Rob sites.
I didn't know there were any tribute/slagging off Rob 'sites', but Joe4SOTCAA did attack Rob S on one of the forum threads (The 'The Comedy Forum' one, where Rob s announced the change). I think this was the main catalyst for the various other attacks on Rob S on this forum.
Fuck off, Ribbit, we all know Rob pulled the plug on SOTCAA for the most personal, petty and indeed immature reasons. Still, hope you're happy together.

Fuck off, you stupid cunt. Lose most of your family to cancer.
> Fuck off, Ribbit, we
And who are 'we' in this instance?

Where did you get his (IMHO wrong) information about Rob's motivations from? If anyone connected with the Corpses has been putting this about, I'd suggest that they were the ones motivated by personal, petty and immature things. Obviously it can't have been them, though. They're so sweet and not at all vindictive.
> Still, hope you're happy together.
What do you mean by 'together'? Are you suggesting that Rob and Ribbit are an item? Not so. However, on the recent occasions I have spent with both Rob and Ribbit, they do seem to have been perfectly happy in each other's company (it's what friends do, but then people who post unpleasant, innuendo-laden shite like you have probably have only a tenuous grasp on basic concepts like friendship).

Well done. That's the standard of discussion we're after. Y'twat.
I don't want anyone to fuck off, or get cancer.
What a strangely half hearted insult for one so vicious. Lose "most" of your family to cancer? Bizarre. Anyway, I'd suggest that most people on here havn't got a clue what all the disharmony is about, who's in the wrong etc. But if the guy wants to stop hosting the site, that's ultimately his business. And flinging pointless abuse about won't convince me otherwise.
Oh for fucks sake will you all grow up? It's not even really that big a deal, or any of our business.
Well, yes, and it's odd why 'anonymous' should choose to reply to reasonable points with ill-informed, malicious abuse. Also, as Rob has never gone into any of the personal reasons for his decision (excepting working 10 hour days and buying a house), and I have never made a point of telling people that I'm a friend of Rob's, one would assume that 'anonymous' is a little less anonymous then they claim. If they wish to deal out such pointless and nasty comments, then they should have the courage to post under their normal name. Neither Rob or myself have anything to hide, as LF Barfe kindly pointed out.
Still, it's all academic now. The failure of the Corpses to answer any of the well-made points on this thread speaks volumes to me.
And no, I don't want anyone to fuck off or die of cancer either, and I'm certainly not into picking fights. But *I* didn't start the fire. If someone tells me to fuck off and tries to spread vicious rumours about me, I want a right to reply. I would also like to know their motives. However, I think I can guess.
Now, back to the comedy.....

Fuck off
You can all fuck off, coz i know all about it
That fucking rIbbit is shagging Rob and thats why he's thrown the Corpses off his site which, as I said, is immature, and personal, and also sly.
I don't know any of the corpses or Rob or Ribbit, but its obvious whats has been going, for months, just read tween the lines on this here forum and i think it sucks a big one, coz Rob does all the reasonable comments then someone has a go so Ribbit juuumps in like a total protective girl, its so obvious.
And it's also obviuos as fuck that LF Barfe has got some stake in it too - he either wants to shag rob or ribbit himself.
And anyone who reckonns I'm talking shit can get first cancer then aids.
Ribbit we both know I'm right so cut the fake ass bullshit babe.
You can all be free to dish out bad shit on me now, ya fuckers!
I'm the bad demon of this forum, yeah!
>You can all fuck off, coz i know all about it
No, you are very, very wrong and to post such a message at this time is extremely sickening.
I would think Rob removed the site because:
a) it was embarrassing;
b) it was inaccurate;
c) it hadn't been updated for over a year;
d) the other Corpses ignored suggestions and corrections from members of the public.
The fact that he kept the forum running was the only element that surprised me, as it, as with the site, seems to be patronised almost exclusively by fuckless morons who wouldn't recognise a good gag if it flew into their faces and combusted.
As for the World Trade Centre, I have one question - anybody here personally involved? I suspect those that are wouldn't be wasting their time posting to an internet comedy forum at a time like this. The rest of you, grow up.
