anyone see the formerly shank-haired,darlene-from-Roseanne lookalike on Liquid News last night? He was a picture of yellow-toothed health. He was given the label "tv funnyman" by the mares at BBC. I have an irrational dislike for the guy and was wondering if anyone could put forward an argument justifying his continued presence in public places - he's doing 2 weeks in London soon. approach him with care.

I liked his early-1980s type jazz-funk bob haircut - I think they used to call it a pageboy or purdey cut but he is one ugly skinny fecker and he is not at all funny.

Ed Byrne went to my university in the early 90s. He came into the Sociology lectures in 1st year and wanted to be elected for something, university clown, I think. This is the only piece of information I have about Ed Byrne. Oh, apart from people ALWAYS going on about his fucking 'Ironic' routine, which doesn't sound funny.

Ed Byrne's a bloody good comic, but his new haircut is awful. Not that his old haircut wasn't awful, but this one is particularly bad.

I'm prejudiced against him largely because of his ironic routine (and also cos he seemed to be ripping off sean hughes lovable self deprecating Irish charmer schtick). But he surprised me by coaxing a few laughs tonight on that sports quiz thing.
