Ogden's Nut Gone Flake Posted Wed Sep 5 11:02:50 BST 2001 by 'Peter'

About 2 years ago a Yellow Submarine style cartoon based on the Small Faces classic album 'Ogden's Nut Gone Flake' was almost finished, with the remaining members of the band adding their voices to the film. Then nothing else was ever heard of it.
Anyone know what happened?

I recall hearing something about this aswell. Wasn't Spielberg involved? I worked at Amblin Entertainment's animation studio in Acton for a while in 1993 and I remember that lot were talking about it back then.

Funnily enough, I've just found a stray copy of "Hello!" from last month lying around in the office, which features Kenney Jones. He says he's currently putting the 'finishing touches' to music for the film.

Whose making this film? And is it only being finished after the death of the two main writers, cos didn't they feel ripped off by their managers?

I remember that Jones was very involved in the film full stop, but no news since. Hopefully it will still arrive. Intit about time they showed the whole of the Colour Me Pop 'Live' performance?

HURRAH! They should show it on Kids TV.

Anyone remember, I think Carry On Regardless, it had K Williams & Unwin having a conversation. Now that was trippy

Nope, it's the forgotten Carry On film (about an employment agency). Unwin has a job for them, but no one can understand him, until the end when it turns out our Ken can, it fucking great.

Any easy to get hold of stuff of the Prof anywhere? I did know of some stuff but that was years ago and I've forgotten.

They showed 'Song Of A Baker' from the CMP special on Sounds of the '60s, and the final 30 seconds on a C4 programme about the band, with the presenter stumbling on to close it and the lights going off awkwardly, the band looking a bit bemused when they came back on...

Cheers, it blew my mind so much... Actually I saw that RnR prog Lamarr narrates on BBC1, and they showed it then. It was a rocking song anyway. Wish they repeat it so I could see K Emerson knifing his organ.

BTW Aphex Twin tried to do the same thing and electrocuted himself apparently. I would love that to be true. Spinal Tap lives & all that
