Yes Garrett, I downloaded them all the other week, great stuff. It's just a problem for some people over here in crappy Britain with our old clunky modems and analog lines, it took me days to get some of the 30 meg files! And some of them aren't resumable, so it's a bit of a problem, especially if your connection resets every hour or so.
That said, cheers for putting up the stuff, glad you put Hastily Cobbled Together up too, ain't heard it since the Corpses' version disappeared, a long long time ago on a website far far away. Thanks and good luck!
So that BBC2 Python Night reunion from 1999, which Eric boycotted for some silly reason, ended up being introduced by him when shown in the US. How curious. I will download those intro/outro clips to see if he looks cross.
He was filming a movie in America, and he was interviewed and filmed over there. HE didn't boycot it at all.
Sorry about the file size, and glad you like.
As for Eric, who knows what he does anymore? But we like him anyway ... even if he hasn't appeared in a watchable film or tv series/film or tv series he wrote himself [which is the same thing, with Eric] since ... oooahhhh 1978?
I won't mention Splitting Heirs.
I didn't think Splitting Heirs was terrible, most of the jokes were ripped off though, and it felt like a TV movie rather than a film. But.. Burn Hollywood Burn is the most awful piece of shit I've ever had the misfortune to watch, it was practically Idle licking at the sphincter of LA producers and saying "Look how well observed and intelligent this piece of satire is about the film industry, *your* industry, gosh I'm clever, and I got to trot out my many and various acquaintences with various celebs during it too, I do move in wide circles" it had zero plot, zero jokes, and I felt like it was only quarter of the way through when it ended, I don't know if that is necessarily a bad thing though. Everyone should experience this movie to really see how low Idle can sink, he should stuck true to his name and remained idle since RWT.
For christ's sake Steven, Eric didn't write Burn Hollywood Burn. He is also the only watchable person in that waste of celluloid.
But yeah ... I think he HAS remained Idle since RWT.
Who the hell wrote it then? It seemed in Idle's sort of vernacular of thought. And doesn't Idle have the ability to read a script and realise it's shit? It was literally the worst comedy I've ever seen.
joe ezterhas wrote it. he's the stupid fucker who didn't change his name to alan smithee. the dirtwad who directed it at least had the sense to do that.
yeah, that's right joe showgirls ezterhas (sp?)

Burn Hollywood Burn things that are good about it:
1. It's got Chuck D in it
2. Therefore it's got the PE track in it
3. It costs £2 in my video shop
4. It's got J Chan going "Jackie Chan never die!"
Steve: get Download Accelerator. It about doubles your download speed, lets you pause and resume downloads, err, and is free. Which is nice.
Idle is now doing a Python tour in the States - doing the classic sketches with other actors!!!
Should he be doing this?

It does smack of Bucks-Fizz-cash-insville, are the actors American? If they are I think we can provoke some students into forming some death squad.
BTW I posted the thing about Chuck D being in BHB, and it seems to come up as Josh, who has an account, and I don't.
I think the actors are American. It's called 'Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python', doing incredibly well apparently, and the other Pythons get royalties for each show and have sent their best wishes. Idle sings songs and tells anecdotes between sketches.
It's odd that they say Python wouldn't be the same any more without Chapman, yet Idle's doing it without ANY of 'em!
So you have Americans performing the Four Yorkshiremen sketch ...
'Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python'
Well it makes sense, if you every owned a record, they knew that the art wasn't important, and Idle did write some top songs.
Yanks aren't going to be able to say "L-l-licked t' road clean wi' tongue"
It's kind of odd that he's doing non-Idle sketches like 'Argument Clinic' with non-Python actors. But then, why not, I suppose, (except it's not moving on and doing new stuff.) There's a CD out of 'Eric Idle Sings Monty Python' from his previous (recent) solo tour.

Didn't he do other songs (I think new-ish, def not Python). Oh well s'pose he's got to earn a living, and it's Yanks money he's taken. When was the last time a Python did anything that great? Apart from Gilliam, most of his films are top, oh Chapman can be excused, Palins a rather good actor, Jones, doesn't he write books about medevil history, um, have I just stuffed up my own point?
