Everyone has an evil double, so they say: a duplicate who comes to kill you in the night and then takes your place. Comedy showfolk are no exception to this bullshit-or-not-you-be-the-judge myth. The prime example being Reeves and Mortimer and Eric 'n' Ernie. Let's take a brief look of the bullshit facts by comparing some more names. After that, YOU decide if it's Bullshit Or Not:

Armando Iannucci = Alexie Sayle
Simon Pegg = Rik Mayall
Angus Deayton = J.C. (obvious but always worth restating)
The one who looks and sounds a bit like Eric Idle from Punt and Dennis = Eric Idle
Jessica Stevenson = Dawn French
Sally Phillips = Georgina Hale (not a comedy actress but a dead ringer even down to the loony stare)
Bill Bailey = Bill Oddie (sans energy)
Victor Lewis Smith = Vivian Stanshall
David Baddiel = Ben Elton
Grant/Naylor = Douglas Adams (but more ruthlessly commercial)
Paul Whitehouse = Jeff from the original Randall and Hopkirk series
Lee and Herring = Newman and Baddiel (all four abrogated each other in comedy double-act overkill wars of the 1990's)
Chris Barrie = Steve Coogan (think about it)

And there are others. Name your own and then decide if it's Bullshit Or Not.
