Why have you got rid of SOTCAA then, you bastard?
I don't get a graphic for 'The Comedy Forum' in my lower window - just one of those empty rectangles with a little cross in the corner.
I bet the Corpses have a working graphic on their new site. ;)
>I don't get a graphic for 'The Comedy Forum' in my lower window - just one of those empty rectangles with a little cross in the corner.
Bastard! You had to put the Hitch-Hiker logo on it, didn't you? You know my weaknesses, RS.
>As you may of noticed, this forum is no longer part of the SOTCAA website. I've done the change over in preparation for the upcoming closure/move... the forum isn't closing, as I didn't want an influx of users back in the TV forum.
I really cannot fucking believe you, Rob.
It was requested of you by Joseph, Mike and Ian, and you agreed (and posted to that effect on the TV Forum 'the team have requested that the forum goes at the same time as the site..') that the forum would go at the same time as the deletion of the site.
Now, you claim to be 'removing' it from SOTCAA by changing the URL ever so slightly, while continuing to link to it from their front page. Well done.
Thing is, why can I still view it in the SOTCAA page, and why isn't SOTCAA gone? Am I truly missing something?
Am I supposed to be redirected?

I never actually agreed to it Kip, the only mention I've made on the subject is in the TV forum which you have quoted. I made that message deliberately ambiguous as I hadn't made my mind up at the time.

Ops. Thanks RHC, I had forgotten to update the frame building scripts...
Is it working now?

Nope.
Yes it is now! But you can still get into all the other SOTCAA pages, so it's not offline yet!
>I made that message deliberately ambiguous as I hadn't made my mind up at the time.
At the end of the day, Rob, it's not your decision to make anyway. You have absolutely no right taking our forum, slapping a shitty new title on it, and selling it as part of your main NotBBC platform - thereby suggesting that you created it yourself.
This forum - it's style of comment, debate and general arse-kicking - exists due to being on the SOTCAA platform. It's part of the whole. By laying a claim to it you're not only showing yourself as devious and underhand, you're also deliberately twisting the knife. You knew full well how we'd feel about this kind of thing. But you did it anyway.
Now I know how Stewart and Richard felt over the whole 'On The Hour' debacle. Shafted good and proper.
Anyway, I've just mailed you about all this. Just wanted everyone else on here to realise how bloody upset I am.
Oh - and no red name either?
Ha - Rob, you're so fucking transparent.
<Ducks the handbags>
I think you should be ducking guns, knifes and fists. I think we should all be ducking really(sorry I'm just trying to make a light-hearted comment)

I thought the cop was a prostitute-2 quotes from a qite new Simpsons episode. Its a classic if you know what I'm talking about!
sorry that message was said Impulse. I'm perfectly sober just insane

Does this mean that I can now post with a clear conscience?

Knowing Rob as I do, I suspect that this really is the simple, genuine reason for this move. He doesn't want to carry on being involved with SOTCAA, for reasons he doesn't wish to divulge, but equally, he doesn't want to leave the group of malcontents that post to the forum homeless. In the absence of anything else, I daresay everyone would pile into the TV Forum, much to the chagrin of those who are already there, so this seems an eminently sensible thing to do. Beats me why Rob is being painted as a waxed-moustache, prop-bomb incarnation of pure evil. Anyway, didn't the forum pre-date SOTCAA?
Hey Rob, I have a great idea for a new Web site. It'll probably take a while to build up an audience and will require a great deal of work, passion and personal investment on my part. Would you host it for me and then fuck me over and hijack it when it gets popular? Cheers.
Apologies if that sounds harsh but you have to admit that's the way it looks. Hmm.
>Anyway, didn't the forum pre-date SOTCAA?
Yes. It was better on the TV Forum.
>>Anyway, didn't the forum pre-date SOTCAA?

This forum didn't pre-date SOTCAA.
It was created as part of the site relaunch, after it was offline last year.
the forum was there before the site went offline though, wasn't it?
it's always been attached to SOTCAA. Or is my memory playing tricks?
When the site was launched last March, it was linked to the TV Forum.
When it went offline, then reappeared, it had its own forum, which is this one.
On a purely tech question.. Netscape 4.7 on mac doesn't see the forum. Ok, fair enough, screw em. I'm using IE5 on mac and it's fine here.
