Some of the corpses, on the other hand, are twats. This one, for instance.

He was excellent as the newsreader in Barbara. No joke, he really WAS excellent. But he left and got replaced with someone not quite so good.

He was also the Best Thing on Comic Relief this year. (An annual award given by me when I can be bothered to sit through the thing.)

Actually, although I loved Marion & Geoff, I thought Human Remains was weak. It was Partridge-by-Numbers, and, much as I disagree with a lot of SOTCAA articles, I think it embodies the comments on "Dark" humour. No style, no joy and an over-rated Julia Davis.
Wow, I've gone all curmudgeonly today.

He always makes me think of what might have happened to John Sparkes in another, more benevolent universe.

I loved Marion and Geoff, despite the fact that he nicked the idea for it from me (well, possibly. And now Vaughan's doind a taxidriver comedyt as well! Cahhhnts)
Human Remains lasted all of 5 minutes before I got really, really bored of it. Reminded me of that godawful Jack Dee and Jeremy Hardy effort. Where they do "characters".
*shudder*
