Come on mr revelator(STAR WARS THREAD)
Its not your well reasoned arguments i cant understand,but your motivation.
I love music as much as you love film,but i never feel the need to patronise say U2 fans because i happen to think that Squarepusher is ultimately more rewarding.
However ive spent many an enjoyable night babbling on with like minded fellows about the merits of leftfield music.
We all know the biggest rewards come with the stuff that takes longer to digest,but after after 3 hours of stockhausen and messien theres nothing better than a blast of adam and the ants.this kind of leap is entirely possible without feeling the need to compare each kind of musics merits only to reach the useless conclusion that adamant didnt understand anything about atonality,timbres and counterpoint.
Star Wars was not responsible for the cinematic shitpile we have today,nor for the brainlessness of the general public,things have simply always been that way.
It matters not a jot.
