Channel 4 will repeat controversial Brass Eye
Channel 4 says it still intends to repeat yesterday's controversial Brass Eye tonight.
The show, which was a one-off show focused on paedophilia, has provoked a storm of outrage from viewers.
It is due to be shown again at 12.10am.
A Channel 4 spokesman told Ananova: "At the moment, we are still planning to repeat the show tonight.
"However that decision may change during the day."
He admitted the show had provoked a huge response from Channel 4 viewers.
"At the moment we think we've had around 500 calls from viewers, which is a very large volume.
"We usually think if we get between 30 to 40 calls then we've had a high response.
"We believe the show was in the schedule to provoke a response from viewers."
Channel 4 has not yet determined how many of the 500 calls were complaints.

Channel 4 said 40 complaints had been received within 10 minutes of the show finishing.
A spokesman said: "Chris Morris Brass Eye Special is a powerful satire on the way the media exploits and sensationalises the subject of paedophilia.
"It is a programme that is both humorous and directed to make a serious point. As with much of Chris Morris' work, it is in places disturbing and is astonishingly vivid and original."

TV satire sparks protests
A one-off special of Channel 4's controversial satire show Brass Eye, broadcast on Thursday, has prompted a flood of protest calls.

Dozens of angry parents have called Channel 4 to complain over the screening of a Brass Eye special that poked fun at the media's coverage of paedophiles.
Operators from the information service 192 said they had received thousands of calls from the public wanting a number for Channel 4's complaints department.
While amusing to some, many scenes in the controversial programme were deemed sickening.
Many of these calls were in connection with the use of "FRV" - which Channel 4 refused to confirm or deny had actually been seen in the broadcast.
I thought this was really odd as well. Particularly what with the Mail putting BES as their choice viewing. The only thing I can think of is that Chris Morris is very popular among media types. As much as journalists will exploit other people's suffering in their kneejerk rants just to sell papers, they are not willing to appear uncool to their media mates.
This is unsubstatiated rubbish of course but you never know. BES is as much part of the phoney post-modern exploitative media zeitgeist. The tabloid journalists are very much in on the joke, even if the celebrities aren't. They know exactly how false and sensationalist they are and are happy to laugh at their in-joke as the viewers go crazy. I guess this time round they didn't want to be seen as against it.

What is FRV?

I thought it may be because they would rather be outraged when the readers can join in i.e. after the actual broadcast. The way that the Sun has reacted today suggests that they've had the story ready to run for a few days, but now they can actually quote people who were disgusted and appalled, rather than telling them that they would be.
I thought it was 'alright', so I can't really join any of the pro or anti factions.
