Radio Boosh Posted Thu Jul 26 16:39:14 BST 2001 by Unruly Butler

Just heard the trailer for London Live's "Boosh" show (Saturday, I think).

Has anyone heard the show yet?

Cos, by Christ, someone's been listening to Blue Jam. Can you, with a straight face, possibly trail your new comedy show by having a monged voice say its title slowly over ambient music? I mean, there's hitting the zeitgeist and leaping on bandwagons, and it sounds like The Boosh are making like Yakima Canut.

I caught one, unawares, last week.. Thought it was pretty good. it's not like their live show arctic boosh, also not like blue jam, although the voice on that trailer does sound a bit like morris... anyway it wasn't bad.

The Boosh radio show is only like Blue Jam in as much as it admirably addresses the medium of sound with regard to comedy, rather than just recording sketches in a room in front of people.

Haven't heard the show, so I'm not criticising it. I just thought it was stupidly blatant to have a trailer where someone says "Boooooooooosh" very slowly over a Warp record.
