Well, it's been put on the internet for one...
They've got the 70s logo lasting till the late 80s, and the 80s logo starting in the mid 80s. Two logos at once?
And Eastenders didn't start until the eighties logo (with Paul Hardcastle's "The Wizard.")
I only skimmed it, but they got the years wrong for Hand In Glove (1984) and Jackie Wilson Said (1982). And couldn't they have found out who recorded the original TOTP Theme? Original producer Johnnie Stewart may still be alive - I'll bet Savile knows anyway.
Awful write-up, whatever.
>they got the years wrong for Hand In Glove (1984)
I couldn't find any reference to Hand In Glove on that web page, but I think I know what you're getting at.
Hand In Glove was released in May 1983, but it didn't chart, therefore it was never on Top Of The Pops.
However, in 1984 Hand In Glove was 'covered' by Sandie Shaw. I use inverted comas because she was backed musically by The Smiths (sans Morrissey), and it was billed as The Smiths feat. Sandie Shaw.
This version charted and was consequently on Top Of The Pops, with Sandie, and hysterically, The Smiths, playing barefoot.
Hope that clears up any confusion.

There's a clip of Neil Young singing Heart of Gold.

Wait. Try going to

and clicking on the Strokes link from there. Yet it works when you click on the link above once it's transplanted to the SOTCAA forum.
Even the Corpses' website corrects the errors in the BBC's archiving.
