>A lot of the people here seem to spend a lot of time in front of their computers and their tvs's. I spent last night moving my computer so that I had a better view of my tv whilst working - can't move the telly 'cos of cables.
>
>How many of you have your computers right near your telly and if not why not?
Yes, although the one at home doesn't work at the minute and hasn't done since April. Pah. It is, though, about 8 feet from the tv across the room and therefore ideally placed to sit at it typing and watching tv at a slight angle. Here I just have a scenic view out of the window, and Radio 2 occasionally.
>This question is obviously mute to those of you with swanky little laptops and workbooks.
moot.
Yep, I too am similarly placed to the TV & stereo. And as the kitchen's at the back of the room I can also rustle up grub fairly easily. Explains a lot, eh?
I quite like the idea of seeing Radio 2, though...
My sodding computer is currently stuck in the "work"shop at PC World, waiting for the spotty, arrogant little a***holes to be bothered trying to fix it instead of looking at all the mucky (but legal) stuff I've got on it.
My own fault for buying the damn thing from that shower instead of from someone who knows about computers.
Bitter, moi?

The interviews are so much better that way, although Sarah Kennedy could put you off your breakfast.
I have a telly (card) IN my computer. Doesn't work though.

WinTV right? I've had two of them. Both bust.
I've got one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom is a Comcrap 233 which isn't ungradeable. I got it from Dixons and it's a pile of shite. After getting conned by Dixons I decided to build my own. This one gives me the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH a lot. It stopped working probably after I installed a CD-RW. Hopefully the Compaq will die and I'll be able to get something better cos it's insured.
I have a massive superswanky workstation thing with my TV on top, my computing accoutrements, DVD player, VCR and various consoles on various other shelves. very convenient as long as I occasionally move around to stop getting pressure sores.
You just need one of them machines to turn you over.
