Corpse Cameos in Christ on a Bike

Joe4SOTCAA and Kip make a fleeting appearance in Richard Herring's new one-man show Christ on a Bike.
If you're going to the previews or planning to see it in Edinburgh, you might want to look out for it ...
It's a very funny show, although Rich got a bit muddled with his OHPs and he's obviously still learning bits of it. If you enjoy L&H's Jesus-baiting material, you'll like this - not that this is recycled or anything, but it has the same kind of glee in exposing the illogical parts of Christianity.
I also saw Dan Antopolski (or whatever he's called) on the same bill. It was intermittently funny but disappointing. He does a lot of long, surreal digressions which are hit and miss (the first 5 minutes was about 3 of these which I found totally unfunny, although they did get laughs). His theme (as much as there was one) was "what it's like to be in showbiz" - it came across as a bit self-important since he did a lot of stuff about the horror of being famous (e.g. wearing a mask with a sort of one-way mirror for the face). There were video appearances from Topoloololooloski's showbiz mates which were good, but didn't work in the context of a standup show. The evening was fragmented: a song, a bit of stuff messing with an electric keyboard a la Bill Bailey, a bit of audience-baiting, a bit of stuff with props, but the whole thing didn't really gel. He said that he planned to re-structure the show, though.

So, what about this Brass Eye Special then? I reckon it's all about paedophiles. What do you guys think?

Look on the sheet Jake (no OHP in Swindon)
Glad you both enjoyed it (if you're the same Jake from Swindon on the L&H guestbook- seems likely)
Yes there is a little way to go still. In learning and remembering stage craft. But it is getting better each time. Dr H that was my first time with the OHP and now I'm much better as I've worked out a system!
And of course it's too long at the moment. I've already had to lose my ancient Scooby Doo routine (you'll be pleased to hear Joe!)
If any of the rest of you see it, do let me know what you think. It's still work in progress this week, but I think it will be ready for Edinburgh (which ahs never been true of any of my shows up there which usually take a day or two to get up and running properly)
I look forward to yur disdain!

Hey Joe. When I couldn't sleep last night I ended up reading my copy of Christ's Fat Cock. When's the second issue out?
You were better in magazine form!

When I said it was nice to see 'all that old material again' I wasn't being sarcastic. It was genuinely nice to see it.

I was wondering where I had seen the name 'Champniss' before. Now I see. Of course. Not as good as 'Mugubabubalubalub' though.
And yes, I am the same Jake.
