Why apologise, surely they'll be clever enough to not go back.
BTW Does anyone know how to get into geocity sites without having those annoying ad boxes pop up? It still happens on radio haha as well.
Is it me, or does it actually seem funnier than TV Go Home because you know that Charlie Brooker *isnt* directly involved in it?
If the person who does TVGTH is eight years old, then it is great. If they are any older then it is shit.
If you have an ounce of comedic talent, why the fuck bother to rip off someone else's idea? If you can think up all those listings why not try thinking up a new format too?
At the very least submit a listing to Mr Brooker and see if you can get it on the real TVGH.
Good use of the word shit. Perhaps an overreliance on it. No, I'm being too judgemental.
Here's my 2p's worth:

Very dubious indeed.
Of course, by parody, i actually mean
'in character pastiche'.
There are two others aswell, equally as shit.
However, one, the most true to life, bears the legend 'i'm a retard' written by the hand of a sub-mental child.

Mmmmmm, worthwhile.
I actually think TVGTH has a few funny programmes in it. It's mostly shit, of course, but occasionally one will sneak up on me and tickle me snigger trigger.
Like 15 to 1.
That TVGTH thing is proof that nobody understands what Charlie Brooker's doing.
To a cursory glance, TVGH is about putting swearwords in pastiche listings of parody TV shows. Ha ha.
That's not the funny bit. It's the relentless iambic march of the prose that's funny. The tight curclicues of the writing.
(I'm talking about it at its best - in the earlier editions, for instance, or recent momentary flashes)
In the submission guidelines for TVGH, Brooker explains that direct parodies of extant TV shows aren't what the site is about (he's broken this rule recently, with weak results, to my disappointment). Observe the way he used to express bile and anger at real-life, non-TV things by shoehorning them into programme formats.
That was the joke.
It might not be any more, but la-di-da... Shark jumping and so on.
Please, if you're going to emulate something, try and copy its good points, not its bad ones.
He even borrows the Nathan Barley character at one point.
All in all, very embarrassing.
Y twmffat twp
>Y twmffat twp
Misprint or Welsh?
Splendid idea for a quiz show......

Both I think. Using my handy Welsh phrase book. Which is so useful for confusing people and making them think you are swearing...ah see how we come full circle...
*Ahem*
The stupid funnel.
*Grins*
"I was inspired by Charlie Brooker's TV GO HOME, in much the same way as Feeder were inspired by Nirvana."
That must be the most appropriate comparison ever made.
1. Nirvana had some great moments, but weren't the living gods some people will have you believe, and were creatively defunct some time before the actual end.
2. Feeder sound fuck-all like them anyway.
3. Another thing: though Nirvana and their fans affected disdain for the style-mag set, they were entirely embraced and supported by them.
4. Kurt Cobain used to write for a computer magazine.
(NB This might not be true)
5: Charlie Brooker is currently lying in his garage in a pair of Converse One Stars with his face spread evenly over a nearby Black And Decker Workmate.
(This, also, may not be true.)
6. "TV Go Home Unplugged" was rubbish.
7. Mrs TV Go Home is a ghastly harridan.
8: The bass player from TV Go Home is enjoying a spectacularly unsuccessful solo career.
9: Charlie Brooker did a solo website with William Burroughs.
But if TVGH is Nirvana, which site is Pearl Jam?
Pearl Jam would be a deformed version of TVGH that was actually funny sometimes, instead of just using the words "cunt", "fuck" and "Barley" too often.
