The Young Ones pilot...

Third forum I've posted in - let's hope someone's interested :-)
Does anyone know whether the original edit of The Young Ones pilot 'Demolition' - with it's original title sequence exists? The title sequence has obviously been redone when it went to series, as it includes clips from the rest of the episodes.

I think they said in their article they didn't know anything about it. I've emailed them at that address twice about other stuff, and had no reply. Are they updating their website soon?

Have no idea, sorry. Have you tried anywhere else on the net?

That was the first one, where Rik wore different clothes to the rest of the series, wasn't it?
It was a bit different to all the shows that followed.

All the characters were at that interesting stage of being *nearly* like they are in the rest of the series, but not quite. Rik has no spots for instance, and Vivians hair is slightly different. I can't find out anything else about it's production history on the net, beyond what is said the the Corpses article.
It's really good though, especially 'Nozin' around" and Vivians entrance :-)

'Nozin Aroun' is probably the best parody of 'yoof' TV I've ever seen. It always has me in fits :)

"But I should emphasize that you DO need to have a degree" is closer, I think.

Great excuse to watch it again though...
I'm afraid I went through the Corpses article with the full set of videos and noted all the bloopers/edit points.
The best one IMHO is the point where Dawn French enters the house in 'Interesting', and you can see at the top of the stairs a couple of guys in shot. They were probably sorting out the sandwich effect for later in the scene :-)
