My work xmas party tonight - by Paul Twist aged 22 Posted Wed Dec 20 00:24:56 GMT 2000 by 'paul twist'

Before you think this is a pointless, irrelevant thread, here is why I bring this up:

We were greeted at the venue (a rather well-to-do place) by a Basil Fawlty impersonator (that IS spelt wrong, isn't it? Alcohol does that to me. Or maybe it isn't spelt wrong and I just think it is. Anyway...), who also came over to all the tables after our meal to do his schtick (including pretending [badly] to hit waiters over the head). I'm not saying this a good or bad thing (though I err towards bad), just a thing. A bizarre thing. Like, why would anyone think up that? "I know, it's a work Xmas party, let's hire the Basil Fawlty impersonator, even though no one is staying over in the hotel except a few bigwigs who can't be arsed going home with the plebs..."

Ahh, the plebs. It really was retard time at the zoo tonight. People got excited when 'Rock DJ' started. For fuck's sake...

I had to leave early. I am full of a cold, I wasn't drunk enough, and the attractive drunk married woman was dancing with people who weren't me.

The end. Love, Paul.

Would you have preferred it if they had hired a Del Boy?

Mine is tomorrow night, and I think it'll be great, despite the fact that I am not fully recovered from a bout of tonsilitis.

I'm going to our works do at Greens, a vegetarian restaurant in Didsbury, Manchester, tomorrow.

A colleague just said to me: "You're drinking, aren't you, Rich? You're entertaining when you're drunk."

What a sensational putdown.

Oh no. If you're going to try and have a kinky contest, I'm not even going to start.

Cause I'd win.

Besides, chains are a really bad idea, because... er... neveryoumindhowIknow. Go and ask Suiii if you have to.

Nope, I would. That thing I do with the parcel tape is unique.

Oh yeah, the firemen were very embarrassed. And those 3 feathers didn't cover much at all. Radi, you have much to learn.
