Peter Davison to return as Doctor Posted Sat Dec 16 13:52:22 GMT 2000 by 'Unruly Butler'

Anyone else see this cheeky headline on BBC Teletext?
Davison is to reprise a role as *A* doctor, not *The* Doctor, yet they saucily capitalise the word "doctor" to get sad eighties kids like me to get a bit excited...

B'oh!

So they are making a new series?
Took them long enough...
Although as far as I recall each series was eight episodes long...

I think it means a doctor, a medical one probably, not Doctor Who. But while I am here, a question for the Who-ophiles who will probably flock to this thread. In "The Five Doctors" which I watched the other night, I noticed that Peter Davision didn't appear in any other outdoor scenes in the Thingy of Death - whatever it was called. Any reason? And where were these scenes filmed?

I'm not sure what you mean, but Davison *does* appear in exterior scenes (they were shot in North Wales, near Portmadoc). For example, he's in that bit where the cybermen attack him and the Master.

Is that what you mean?

Cheerio

Ok, I'm mad. Don't mind me. I'd forgotten about that bit. But thanks for the location info, I'd thought it might be Wales.
