There's a feature about them in Radio Times.

There was a feature on the balloons on Points Of View on Sunday. Waste of time, that was.

What does it say, anything new?

Not really.

But it does say where some of the locations are and how it once crash-landed, which I did not know.

Also talks about the computer-enhanced ones and talks to M L-N.

I thought they were all computer generated. I was quite shocked when I found out they were real...

I think any new ones are cgi.

What are people's favourites? I have four - St Michael's Mount in Cornwall and the one with the lighthouse because they look very nice, Scrabo Tower because it is near where I'm from and Dunluce Castle because I've driven past it a few times. Now that I remember, the one with the Stone Circle in Cumbria where you see the balloon amongst the stones is good too. It was the first one used ever. I think they used it for the start-of-day, before News 24 started. I remember getting up to watch the new BBC look. I knew there was going to be a new logo, but I had no idea about the balloons. I was very impressed.

What? 7.05am or something, then over to BBC 2 about 15 minutes later to see it start up with "aerial"?

By the way, when did the log changes occur on BBC World and Prime - at the time the only 24-hr BBC TV channels.

Fave? Sorry but it's got to be the rarely used Dome one. It's quite fantastic. The Canary Wharf one is rather good too. As is the Angel of the North balloon.

On the other hand, I'm not too keen on the one which just floats above the water and is always used by BBC North East & Cumbria.

Yeah, I like it. The other city ones are good too.

The container port is the most bizarre.

Can you imagine going to a planning meeting and coming up with the suggestion?

I dunno, very inspired. I'd like to see more with land-marks, also things like a motorway twisting through the countryside, more coastlines etc.
