Would this be the abstract comedy that you keep defacating all over the Forum? It's certainly abstract in the sense that it doesn't remotely resemble anything that could induce laughter.
I'm no stickler about rules or forms of comedy. New styles are always arising as writers struggle to find their own voice. But here's a very very very small tip. If you're going to post zaaaaaaaaaaaany 'abstract' comedy, try making it FUNNY zaaaaaaaaaany 'abstract' comedy. Then more than 1 person might actually enjoy it.

Where the fuck have *you* been?
i dont care, since when did i want to be liked??
i'm just saying stuff, thats all.
isn't it possible to be not liked, not dissliked, without the need to be dumbed dowm?
There's nowt wrong with abstract comedy as long as it's funny... trouble with abstract comedy is that it has an in-built get-out clause in that when it's NOT funny (as is often the case) its perpetrators can always dismiss their critcs as too-dumb-to-keep-up-with-our-edgy-and-groundbreaking-humour. Yer basic Emperor's New Clothes effect. This has given rise to a lot of bloody lazy abstract comedy writing over the last few years.
The # in my name there was a mistake. Made a bit of a # of that, didn't I?
Now THAT'S funny.
you're right, mitch, laziness is the enemy.
a0d (yeah) - check out some n f simpson. it might just change your mind. very milligan, even more abstract (a couple waiting for an elephant to be delivered etc.), and very peter cook. and terrifyingly abstract. but simpson writes properly for actors, unlike milligan and cook.
even if doesn't change your mind, it'll give you a good giggle.
