I think, this will make Mark Goodier the third-longest serving DJ if he manages to stay that long. I'm not sure who would be next - Steve Lamaq?

From what I've heard, the new schedule will probably be like this:

Sara Cox 6.30 - 9.30
Jo Whiley 9.30 -1pm
Mark Radcliffe 1pm-3pm
Chris Moyles 3pm-5.45pm

...though I'm not entirely sure!

Actually, nearly right...

Scott Mills 4.00-7.00
Sara Cox 7.00 - 10.00
Jo Whiley 10.00 -12.45pm
Mark Radcliffe 1pm-3pm
Chris Moyles 3pm-5.45pm

But I really annoyed about it - they'll probably get rid of the Mystery Years, National Anthems and all those other great features. This will all be happening mid-february, btw.

If they lose the mystery years, there will be riots. It's great, makes my morn. Not too bothered about national anthems. But I can't see Sara Cox sacrificing an hour of her three to have the mystery years. Big shame, Simon Mayo is a proper radio DJ, not like Cox. We'll have Radio 1 filled with poor TV personalities within the year. Can't be long until they get rid of Mark and Lard, too, which would be devestating.
Public service broadcasting my arse.

Absolutely, though in terms of features I prefer Mayo - he has hi-quality features.

Hopefully if the Mystery Years does go they'll let him do some old ones before he goes. Radio One is often at its best before a big change, as it was before the February 1997 change when Simon Mayo briefly returned to Breakfast and Kevin Greening did 9-12

Absolutely. I started listening to R1 in 1994 and it kept improving and improving until late 1998 when it peaked and has been going downhill ever since IMHO.

Am I the only person on the broad face of this planet who hates Mark and Lard, and thinks that the Private Eye spoof diary on them was a work of genius?
