Steve Buscemi.
Ta.
Where on earth was Steve Buscemi in Charlie's Angels? I have absolutely no recollection of him being in it whatsoever. Must say though that I thought the film was simply excellent. Fast, funny, entertaining, and thoroughly pointless. It reminded me of the great stupid films of the Seventies like Cannonball Run. Shame Bill Murray was a bit underused.
I didn't see Late Review the other week, but my friend Agnew claims they were all waffling on about how a prolonged scene of Cameron Diaz waggling her arse on the dance floor is actually highly ironic, and a self-defining moment, underlying how gender has replaced some of the meaning of the original 70's text blah blah blah. Honestly what a load of bollocks!
steve was on the plane at the start next to the African man (not giving away anymore of the plot)
bollocks yes, but a good film because it didn't spend the whole time trying to be funny, it got on with it.
steve buscemi is amazing.
he was in Con Air and Big Daddy too.
his "really bad choices in high school" speech in Big Daddy is one of the highlights of the film (along with the stick tripping stuff)
I noticed from the Charlie's Angels trailer that they're using bullet time photography (or FloMo as it's also known) a la The Matrix.
does it detract from the film or does it just enhance the action sequences?
I was very disappointed to discover that Steve Buscemi's surname is pronounced "Boo-shemmy" and not, as I had previously thought, "Boo-shee-me". This means that I can no longer use the line: "Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just Steve Buscemi?" Ah well.
This place is quiet, isn't it?
the bullet stuff looks nothing like the stuff in the matrix, it's all a bit spoofy, really.
But the bad guy is kinda cute
Ewar, did you really use that line???
The film was great by the way - and I hated the original series, ironically enough...
"Living In Oblivion" is Buscemi's finest moment. Anyone else seen it? Made me laugh like a drain.
Steve Buscemi was also in things to Do In Denver When Your'e dead -brilliant film.
He was class in The Big Lebowski. And Fargo, which was otherwise an incredibly dull film.
I can't believe this. Charlie's Angels was rubbish, it was slow, the twist was lame, the tension dropped off immediately, and so nearly did I.
The fights, slow-mo flo-mo and mindless action were totally pointless, and for all the talk of girl power, everything I've read about the movie has bitched about Drew Bayymore's weight.
The audience spent the film Phwooooaring at Cameron Diaz every time she got wet, and the acting was wooden pap.
Minus four million stars out of ten.
He was also in Trees Lounge which was pretty good as well. Along with Bill Paxton he's my favourite contemporary actor.
Whereas Nunuf Urbuznuz was in 11OCS, which never ever flagged in pace, and was not predictable in the slightest. Oh no.
