Couldn't face watching it, but presumably Deayton's too busy to do Before They Were Famous anymore, and it looked more or less the same sort of format. To think that Caroline Wright's department used to make shows of the calibre of TV Hell and TV Heroes and now pisses about with this sort of rubbish is truly depressing. Danny Baker is a good writer, and deserves better than Theakston delivering his stuff badly. (IN theory, of course. I didn't see it.)

Angus Deayton is intelligent, funny and, like any genuine star, is willing to take a back seat to someone else in the name of comedy (To Ian and Paul, to Victor Meldrew [who's real name escapes me at the moment - apologies] or to a box of Fruit and Fibre)

Theakston is a perfectly able TV presenter, if they'd just let him get on with doing kid shows and pop programmes. He's not much cop at anything else, but give him his own version of "Later" or "The White Room" and he wouldn't upset anyone, I'm sure...
