Seriously, I agree.
Non-seriously: War goes bang. War. Bang. War. Bang.

Can't really argue with that, can we?
Bang goes a man with a guuuuuuuuuuuun...
No, don't talk about anything SERIOUS on here. Why, there are people around who don't like that...
'War is bad'?!? This forum's getting too controversial. I'm outta here!

No, but to have a proper forum discussion someone has to so:
WAr! WAR is fun, people die, hooray for WAr... oh I can't be bothered

I think a more pertinent question might be
War...
Huh!
What is it good for?
>I think that war is a very sad and depressing issue. I hate the thaught that so many innocent men, women and children die just for one mans ego.
I don't think people die for one man's ego, though that is sometimes the case. Take WWII - that was necessary to free occupied Europe. Though there were many innocent deaths, and I'm sure big egos came into it too.
Basically, war is bad and it would be better without it, but sometimes it is necessary.

I think you'll find that WWII was necessary because one man with one big ego thought he could just waltz in and take various countries for his country. Mind you, I bet Churchill and all that lot felt pretty damned good about ordering their armies to go in and free occupied Europe after they'd beaten the Germans.
>Basically, war is bad and it would be better without it, but sometimes it is necessary.
I take your point that it is sometimes necessary, but what really needs to happen is that world leaders have to stop feeling they need to send their armies off to conquer other countries for no reason.

Ok, fair point.

Definately

Luckilly this doesn't happen any more, but if you think about it, if no-one had conquered anyone, England could still be split into several kingdoms, let alone Scotland, Ireland, etc..
war is futile
war is pain
war is love

Absolutely nothing.
Mmmm.
War = horrid, but, if we have to get involved in them, wouldn't you love a nice war based on some kind of humanitarian principle like WWII? A great deal of modern war is merely global capitalism carried on by other means.
Human rights violations? We'll stay well out of it. Possible threat to flow of oil or McNuggets? Get in there and knock the bastards around a bit.
All the recent clashes with contrary belief systems (Vietnam / Cold War / Gulf War / Cuban crisis etc) seemed to have more to do with their refusal to take Disney Store franchises than anything else...
not funny seeing as the slave trade and the exploi=tation of these countries is uincreasing at an expenential rate
Um, no, slavery's illegal. did you miss that history lesson?
"Slavery" is illegal.
18 hour shifts in a 28-day contract, non-unionised Philippino Export Processing Zone stitching sweatshirts for Gap for 87 cents a day isn't.
I defy anyone to spot the difference.
Not the point, but somehow very the point.

Slaves wore collars.
slavery's illegal
and so are drugs subbes and murder and rape.
I'm illegal? Coo, eh. The things you never knew.
Guess this means they'll be right along with the gandcuffs and big siren.
we can only hope
No, you can only hope. Everyone else is still hoping for that disease that only targets the under-17s.
that would not be productive, when in your old age there were no doctors to look after you, and no kids in fact that's kind of wishing for the extinction of man...although that's a suitably good thing to happen in a world where people like subbes exist.
Thank God they all get exported/extradited to the USA
>that would not be productive, when in your old age there were no doctors to look after you, and no kids in fact that's kind of wishing for the extinction of man...
Gosh, she can extrapolate. Congratulaaaaations.
>Thank God they all get exported/extradited to the USA
Ahahahaha! Hahahahah! you're so funny! hahahahaha!
...oh, shut up.
RHC's getting more feisty than Mitch Benn!
