>From BBC teletext p.591:
>
>BBC SHOW ATTACKED BY CHILDREN'S CHARITY.
>
>A BBC comedy show which pretended to offer African children for adoption has been criticised by Save The Children as "irresponsible and exploitative".
>
>The programme, Rumbled, plays practical jokes on members of the public.
>
>But a woman called the police when a crate, containing a child actor, was delivered to her doorstep.
>
>The BBC has apologised for causing any offence, but said the programme was intended for a late-evening slot and meant to push boundries.
>
What BOUNDRIES were they pushing then? That sounds ever so slightly try-hard Chris Morris to me. Perhaps the BOUNDRIES they were pushing were that they got arrested and Chris Morris didn't.
It's a Wevolution! As Rik Mayall might have said once.
Next week, the Rumbled team are called up as court witnesses to an actual crime, and just take the piss for a laugh. Hilarious - especially when they are found guilty of perjury and sent to prison.
I feel confident in saying that the Ceefax story was about a million times more amusing than anything that will be in the actual series.
