Comedian's embarrassing moments that you've witnessed

I went up to Coventry on Sunday to see I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue being recorded. Waiting with some friends who wanted autographs by the stage door afterwards I and a small crowd watched Humphrey Lyttelton leave the theatre and climb into his Volvo. He backed out of his parking space very slowly but still managed to clip the bumper bar of the car next to him. Seemingly unaware, he continued backing out and almost smacked into a pole before managing to drive out of the car park to inpolite applause. After he'd left a few people went to inspect the damage, of which there was NONE!
Now, if I imply that the car Humph clipped belonged to a member of Steps or Craig from Big Brother do you think that'll get into The Sun?

Sean Hughes being made mincemeat of by some actual loyal fans who took exception to his admittedly rather needless comments about Louise Woodward. Soon after, he apparently abandoned live shows in favour of the safety of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Funny that.

Some guy at The Goodies event at the NFT last May asked The Goodies whether they missed doing comedy. Tim Brooke-Taylor answered politely, though angrily, that he and Graeme (at least) had never stopped doing comedy. Unfortunately he cited Me and My Girl and You Must Be The Husband as examples.

On a similar note, a friend of mine once watched in bemusement outside ULU (prior to a Sundays gig) as some fool repeatedly rolled in and out of the same parking space, desperately trying to manoeuvre his vehicle to within spitting distance of the kerb.
Finally, with the car still laughably unparallel with the pavement, the guy gave up, applied the handbrake and got out. It was David Baddiel.
See, he *is* rubbish.

I caused an embarassing moment for a comedian, and embarrassed myself, and embarrassed my friend.

That wasn't the famous incident at the regional Combined Stand-Up Comedians And Honey Distributors' Conference, was it?

I scared Sue Perkins once.
Then she changed her phone number and moved house without telling me.
[spot the sarcasm. Please.]

Do tell...
Incidentally I once worked with a woman who lived down the road from John Cleese in the 70s. Apparently one day he wanted to know what someone's facial expression would be if they fell through a floor. So he took all the floorboards out of his living room, replaced the carpet and waited for Connie Booth to come home. He then watched her fall through the floor. I don't know whether it's true or not...

i once sat next to the air conditioning machine at the hen and chickens while bill bailey was doing his thang, and found my face freezing into some kind of paralytic rictus, so i turned it off (the machine, not my face), after which bill bailey (peace be upon him) sweated like a paed in a playground for the rest of the gig. as did the audience. so, more an embarrassing moment for me, really...

I'm not telling mine. It will remain between I and the comedian forever.
I am waiting, as they say, for the right price.

Is that the Hen & Chickens in Islington? I know the manager there if it is.

Not an embarrasing moment for a comedian as such, but for a member of my family. My dad went to see Spike Milligan perform ages ago and arrived some 20 minutes late. Spike saw my dad enter and to show him up started the whole act again from the very beginning.
