Yeah, go on. Justify your existence in the world of comedy.
Maybe it was a good-natured bit of piss-taking.
>Maybe it was a good-natured bit of piss-taking.
Probably not but it was quite funny.
Can I use this new paragraph to say how good the episode of TGP that I'm watching on video at the moment is? Best Episode Ever.
>Maybe it was a good-natured bit of piss-taking.
That might have been the intention - but some people are *royally* pissed off about this, some of them people who had a lot of time for SOTCAA in the past.
They want you to be pissed of. It's their raison d'etre.
I was pissed off. I was expecting them to have a go at me, because I criticised their TVGH parody, but I thought they'd just have a go at me for having a cunt. I was wrong, and that pisses me off.
A few nit-picky points:
I never said the cartoons were rubbish. I said that the ones in the Edinburgh or Bust article weren't up to the usual standard, which is actually a complement. I realise that this is probably because they were rushed.
I have expressed a desire to see sotcaa return more often than I have criticised it.
I don't have a problem with Steven expressing opinions with which I don't agree. What irks me is when he expresses the same damn opinion over and over and over and over. And his manner was quite aggressive from the start, although he has settled down lately. Comparing him with DanL was valid as they do have startlingly similar stream-of-conciousness styles. Doing it in a jokey fashion isn't so terrible. Steven can, and does, stick up for himself.
I wish I was rich enough or lucky enough to have satellite/cable access so that I could have joined in on the TGP debate when it was in full swing.
Re. bullying: I think Jon has come in for a lot more of that than Steven recently. Not least from Rob & the Corpses. But then, what can he expect if he refuses to agree with them over TGP?
Aside from all that it's a fair cop, I suppose. Pleased to hear that sotcaa will be back.
