Who could they mean? Posted Fri Nov 3 12:04:26 GMT 2000 by 'Jon'

In the Evening Standard 'Hot Tickets' mag yesterday, an interview with French & Saunders in which they are asked who they like. They cite Smack The Pony, Harry Enfield, Caroline Aherne, League Of Gentlemen, Alan Partridge. But then they were asked who they don't like, and Saunders mutters someone's name, adding "he gets the rhythms right, but forgets to put the jokes in". She denies it's Frank Skinner.

So who could it be? I reckon Ben Elton.

The question actually was "who do you think is overrated?"

Izzard lived in my home town for a few years and attended a local primary school.

Just thought I'd share that with y'all.

It wouldn't be Ben Elton. They're old chums.

Question is, who still likes French and Saunders?

Well I do, kind of, but how many times can you pull that schoolgirl shit and dress it up it grown-up gear? Guess they never were made for the sarky acid bath but what is the show like? Looks like their faves are doing the sort of stuff they never dared.

God I'm bored.
