I saw the pilot and frankly unbroadcast is the way it should stay.
What was it like? Apart from bad, that is.
According to his agents, there is still a series in development, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I have reason to believe that it IS in development, it's at least partly a sketch show, and that casting has begun. Speaking as someone who thinks Iannucci is one of the three funniest men in Britain, I'm pleased about this. Tell us more about the unbroadcast pilot...
There was a rumour that he was going to do something for C4 over the summer, but it was shelved for fear of him infiltrating or pre-empting Big Brother in some way. Sounds a bit far fetched, but you never know...
Well- I can't really remember that much about it now. It was back in July 99... the format was much as for Armistice but the script quality was 11oCS, sadly. Peter Baynham/ David Schneider were replaced with Tom Binns who was awful. He also did the warm-up which he clearly thought beneath him.
If any of this sounds similar to the description on SOTCAA then please bear in mind I wrote that too, so any discrepancies are down to my crap memory. If anyone else went then please do try to jog it and we could fill in the gaps.
It was pretty bad though, and done as topical for that week so there was a pitiful gag about downloading Star Wars over the net. I actually sat there thinking 'Channel Four are commissioning this?!?' but thankfully they're not, so it seems. But I remember the fuss when Iannucci and Morris were signed over from the BBC in about February 99- who then would have thought that Morris would get his show on first?
Love Ianucci from 99P, gorgeous voice, wish my voice was gorgeous, have heard nicer sounding ducks.
