An 11OCS Retrospective Posted Mon Oct 30 13:19:48 GMT 2000 by 'Max'

Time to take a look back at the first series.

Does anybody agree that Fred Macauley was the best 11 OCS presenter. Likeable, authoritative, funny, able to read an autocue. Yet they ditch him. Or did he ditch them?

Also wasn't Brendan Burns appalling? He thought he was so cool. Still does I imagine.

What's he doing now? Janet?

He was up at Edinburgh this summer and he was on that 'Edinburgh or bust' show and he got a kicking round here, but I never saw it, have never seen him, so I dunno.

People I respect have told me he's terrible, so I suppose they're right.

PS. I adore Fred MacAulay. Love him to bits as a comic and a person.

Come to Scotland, you'll tire of him quite quickly. He has a morning show 4 days a week on Radio Scotland, appears on numerous television programmes and he writes a column (last time I looked anyway) in the Daily Record. He's currently performing in a stand-up show around Scotland. (Not sure if he's going further afield)
