Seven postings isn't a bad tally. Let's keep this one going. We can beat 'Best Local TV Shows' yet

I think what should be on the week after Black Books finishes should be a Local TV Programme version of Doctor Who.
That should keep this going for a bit.

Are you sure it's Trigger Happy TV - someone told me it was a new series of So, Graham Norton.

Well, Stuart Hall would have made a great Doctor, with John Mundy as his assistant.

Isn't So, Graham Norton replacing Eurotrash.
That's Norton's usual slot, which is why he feels he needs to be so damnably smutty...

Hywel Bennett is the great Lost Doctor.
A week after BB ends they should show "Percy", the film he made with Denholm Elliott, in which he plays a man who has a penis transplant (true).

Actually, that may not be true as it is listed in "The Golden Turkey Awards" by the Medved bros., a compendium of bad films, but they admit at the end that 1 film out of the 500 mentioned was made up by them.
I always reckoned they were fibbing about the Jerry Lewis film about the Holocaust (which they claim never got into production, but was planned), though I'm sure since the basic idea is the same as the one that Roberto Benigni used for Life Is Beautiful, and that really got made. So maybe Lewis could have been up for it.

It's all true. Percy and it's sequel Percy's Progress DO exist. In the sequel Percy is the only fertile man in the world and goes on a mammoth round-the-world bonkathon. Also features Clive James in a small part (oo-er) as an austrailian.
And Jery Lewis's unfinished holocaust-clown film "The Day The Clown Died" I think it's called was made but never completed on the behest of Lewis himself. No-one has ever seen the rushes. It may be the greatest film never made, or a load of old cobblers.

Isn't one of the Medveds now some raving Christian/New Right writer, lambasting Hollywood and the all-pervasive 'liberal elite' at every opportunity?
They're sort of like the American McWhirters. In which case, at least one of them should watch their step...

Yes, there is a slight element of that in "Golden Turkey Awards", but it is mostly very funny pisstakes of shit films.

My fave is Eeagh!, starring Richard Kiel and Arch Hall, Jr, a man so untalented you wonder how he ever got a starring role.
The film is directed by, written by, produced by, and starring Arch Hall, snr.
