Names on the Forum Posted Sat Oct 28 14:38:47 BST 2000 by 'Mister E'

I doing an academic study on how people choose the names they use on the Forum.

For example, Ewar Woowar is obviously a fan of that Edward Woodward joke.

Unruly Butler - cryptic crossword fan. His real name is either Ulbert or Trubel.

Nev Fountain is... Nev Fountain.

Richard Herring: a fan of surreal comedy who doesn't know that dogs are the new fish. Richard Red Setter would have been funnier.

Bent Halo. Another anagram. Possibly a girl called Olah.

Baby Coelacanth. We know he's a comedy writer with the initials B.C. but not Barry Cryer. Ben Caudell, perhaps?

Jon chose his name because he is Jon.

Mitch Benn is Mitch Benn

Chelsea Granma - Kelsey Grammer

Radiator Head Child. This is an easy one. Comedy afficionado with a lot of time on their hands. It's Iain Lee.

Can anyone help?

For such comedy gurus as yourselves you should recognise exactly where my name comes from...

If anonymous were graffoe it would make me laugh a lot.

PS. Different anon.

It's not an anagram. What kind of maniac has a name with no vowels apart from "U"?

(Suddenly thinks of Una Stubbs, then notices there's a rogue "A" in there, so logic still stands...)

I went to http://www.google.co.uk, and typed in "Radiator Head", and found a review of a Boothby Graffoe show.

I'm just a great big cheat.

Dr Hackenbush = Groucho character in old Marx Bros film, the one about the psychiatrist.

Irritating Heater Kid = play on the name "Radiator Head Child"

Bods = one of Morph's companions in the later plasticine adventures.

Prisoner #93A234 Simon Adebisi = his name is Simon Adebisi, and he's a prisoner. Or something.

He was a horse-doctor, wasn't he? In "A Day at the Races".

Is there a new Marx Brothers film, or am I just being facetious?

Jon chose such a mild mannered name to hide the fact that he is EVIL - THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE!

Or
was
that
someone
else?

Curses, foiled again...

I don't know why I bother, frankly. The Bible says quite clearly I lose in the end anyway.
