Mornington Crescent
Posted Fri Oct 27 11:27:19 BST 2000 by 'Stuart O'
The rules: each forumgoer has to name a TV comedy show in turn, in classic Mornington Crescent fashion (Turin variant). The first person to name The 11 O'Clock Show wins, or loses, or whatever.

That's not technically a comedy TV show, so I think your turn should be disallowed. We need an adjudicator. Humph?
Failing that I'll barge in with my turn.

No, no. You can't have Robin's Nest. It contradicts the Thames Spin-off Triangle Convention.
You'll have to go to Man About the House via George and Mildred now.

So, starting another game are we - shows fronted by comedy duos rather than sitcoms. Okay - but no repetitions or mention of Hale & Pace.
I'll continue, taking a sideways move from TMWRNJ - Dan & Nick 40 Years In The Wildebeest (didn't say they had to be TV shows - aaahh!).

The thing about Adam & Joe was that, by not having a studio audience, the dead patches were less noticeable (cf. TMWRNJ, which was actually just as funny but suffered for having the audience there. And for going out live at midday on a Sunday).
