New Swearwords Posted Tue Oct 24 20:44:28 BST 2000 by 'Baby Coelacanth'

Fry and Laurie did that courtroom sketch featuring neologistic ruderies such as "pimhole" and "clothprunker". Let's think up some more.

Scrunt
Twinny
Yaffle
Pipple-dipple
Blatch
Nogger
Fluzzle

I've started using "sportsmonkey" as a term of abuse (mainly towards other motorists) after reading it in the Cluub Zarathustra script.

To avoid the BBC censors, Porridge used 'naff' (as in 'naff off', naffing' etc) which passed into the language. I quite like the expression that Stressed Eric's boss fequently yells - 'Arseburger!'.

I know it a pathetic thing to say but Red Dwarf's "smeg" and all it's variations.

I still prefer "naff".

I thought that Naff came from Polari and actually stood for Normal As Fuck. It was a gay post-war Manchester thing. I think Tony "Coronation Street" Warren has mentioned it.

Feck is always useful, you can release just about as much energy by shouting it out without actually swearing across the room.

Anything ending with a K can have the same impact as fuck. Try shouting these:

Blonk!
Spark!
Croak!
Splink!
Cunk!
Dank!
Plonk!
Spunk!
and
Mykola Puwluk!
