Remembering HTV Posted Tue Oct 24 16:19:07 BST 2000 by 'Dan F'

As we prepare to say goodbye to this once great station, let's remember all those memorable shows and idents.

For starters...Paint Along With Nancy.

The Guardian says Granada is keeping HTV's production facilities in Bristol, so presumably all HTV West productions will now carry a Granada company's logo. I guess they can just pick and choose.
A Tyne Tees production from Bristol? They'll do just enough to keep the regulators happy.

Nah. All Tyne Tees programmes come from Leeds. Everyone knows that.

Why do they say First With the News on Central now?
Bob Warman sounds like a real tit saying that -
onto other matters, what about Dwysquwilryjig Young-Jones or someone who does the weather, they better hadnt sack him.
Why cant they have anyone attractive doing the weather?
Welsh :"Umsere Um de ess pediorc Ech - Newiddoynn a BBC"
English: "And now on s4c BBC News"
well it sounds like that anyway, notice the difference in length?
Notice on s4c that as the small tick hand on the clock (third hand?) gets closer to the bit where they break off, the announcers starts to speak faster and faster?
No, well I have,so there ;-p
