Yet another humiliation for poor Jeremy Bowen, the normally flak-jacketed hack improbably parked on Sophie Raworth's sofa in BBC1's relaunched breakfast show. "Sophie gets back pain because she's younger," the show's doctor informed him last week, "but the reason you're OK is that the risk is reduced for over-45s." Rising slightly from his customary horizontal position, the greying reporter told her curtly, "I am 40."
