For some reason, the sound ain't comin' through...
Very good. Who made that then? Anyone know?
I believe it's an outtake from "jam", now on the net to accompany the CD...
Whether or not they ever expected C4 to broadcast it, this has to be a 'Jam' version of the notorious 'Blue Jam' Diana funeral cut-up which was faded out half-way through transmission, apparently by an appalled Radio 1 duty engineer.
As far as I can see, the nifty lip-synching indicates that it's the real thing and not simply some doting fan's attempt at a bootleg. Anyone out there want to confirm?
There's also a censored Blue Jam sketch on the Warp site...

the last track on the cd is called www.bishoplips.com
there is also a link to the site on the blue jam album web page (www.warprecords.com/bluejam/)
For anyone who is interested, www.bishoplips.com is hosted by an american company, in america
Is it just me who can't get the *other* censored sketch (audio only) to play?
Paul, which version of RealPlayer are you using?
>Paul, which version of RealPlayer are you using?
Apparently it's Real Player 8 (Basic)- though it might be my employer's duff network/ firewall/ ISBloodyD
Am I missing much by not hearing the audio sketch- is it not on the CD- and if not was it on the radio?*
*In which case it was better there-<BANG> Ow...tray on head... <BANG> tray on head...
The sketch was cut from the first series (not, as is commonly believed, from the faded-out final episode, but from the one - I think it was the fourth - that fell way short of sixty minutes), and is not on the CD. The shock value is amazing, and it has some killer lines, but it doesn't stand up next to the very best of "Blue Jam"...
I like the idea of writing a sketch so ludicrously obscene that management will have to cut it, and which you had no intention of broadcasting anyway, simply in order to slip past them some extremely dubious material which is almost inoffensive in comparison. Chris has learnt his Brass Eye lessons well. The force is strong with this one...
(NB Paul - you do need RealPlayer G2 - anything less won't do. And if you do get G2, you'll probably find you have to open the link from the Player, not from the Warp site itself. I discovered this only after ten minutes or so buggering about on WarpNet trying to get the thing to load, after which I noticed that (a) it wasn't working and (b) the Blue Jam pages are designed so that the text wobbles, almost imperceptibly, but easily enough to give you a headache if you're not careful.)
It not new writing unbroadcastable material so that other lines can get in. Peter Rogers did it in the Carry On's all the time.
Can't think of any examples though.
And the 'docrude' sketch is online in MP3 form at:
http://www.egroups.com/files/thecabal/chris+morris+-+blue+jam%2C+docrude.mp3
You might have to be a member of The Cabal though.
Anybody willing to type up a transcript of the censored sketch, for those of us with shit computers?
Please?
