I saw Black Books - that was pretty good. Actually, The Bill was on wasn't it. It was by J C Wilsher - the guy who used to write Between The Lines. It was an excellent episode on Friday I thought. Some sterling performances, and quite noirish in places. Also on C4 was probably the last halfway decent episode of 'Friends' to date - the 'parallel universe' one, where Chandler is Joey's PA, Phoebe is a Wall Street hot shot, Rachel and Ross are still married to their original partners and Joey is still Dr Drake Ramirez. I know it's not a favourite on the forum, but it made me chuckle several times. Was there anything else on of note?

I was both ill and skint on Friday, hence stayed in.

Was forced to watch The Bill for the first time in about 5 years and was amazed to discover that it was actually pretty good. Next thing you know I'll be watching Casualty. Er, on second thoughts...

Black Books was brilliant. I only discovered it by accident flipping through the channels, and I'm a bit annoyed about missing the start of the series. Hopefully it will be repeated soon.

Other than that, it was shite. Shite shite shite.

Ah yes, Mr. Gervais.

Is he the most irritating little shit on television at the moment or what?

Vicar of Dibley
>Prime-time repeat

Fraiser
>OK, another repeat, but it was one of my favourite eps.

The Vicar Of Dibley?

Was that the same Vicar of Dibley which was referred to in the trailers for THE NEWS?

Christ in a bath! Did that annoy everyone else as much as it did me?

"And after The Vicar Of Dibley, why not stick around and watch some news? Oh go on. I'm sure there's only Eurotrash on the other side..."

(Reith spins in grave.)
