Pretty thin stuff this time round, isn't it?
Not a chuckle.

You're right. Not many ideas and those there are aren't very good. But it's ususally extremely funny. We all have off days.

Agreed. Although there has been a decline in recent months, and with this new one, it's almost as though they looked at the previous issue, and just versioned the ideas. It just looked very underwritten - ah well, they must be filming a pilot for the TV spin-off by now.

There does seem to have been a bit of decline. Even 'Cunt', which is normally the poisonous cherry on the cake of the site's hatred* is looking a tad morribund. Is the whole idea wearing out? Maybe, but I'm sure Brooker has the imagination to keep it going for a while yet.

Still, I haven't seen anything as funny as "Blame it on the Jizzmopper" (see Archives) for quite a while.

I still vote Fozzie Bear's Eisteddfod Of Doom as my all-time favourite programme title.

"No Escape From DreadTalk Planet"

"Shinebright Metalface Choo-Choo Assembly"

The all-time greatest:

"Buzz Buzz Meadowmouth Vonnegut Assignment"

Don't get me wrong. Loads of it was really funny up until relatively recently. But this new one is just lazy. Better just to keep the archive open rather than let it go off like this.

What about 'Mind of the Boatsheep'?

Looks like it's getting increasingly difficult to contribute as most of the recent issues have been packed with in-house in-jokes. Fair play, it's their baby, but there's not an lot of varietee at present. Lee Major's enviro-friendly rescue boat powered by seventeen screaming people made me shit meself. But then I like the weird bits.
