James Hendrie and Ian Brown Posted Fri Oct 20 12:49:53 BST 2000 by 'Jon'

They wrote for Weekending in the 80s, did most of the WE book "The Cabinet Leaks", and worked on some Saturday Night Fry material. And they did 'Dial M For Pizza', which someone on one of the other threads has just reminded me of. What else?

'Tales of the Mausoleum Club'/'The Fall of the Mausoleum Club' on R4 in the late eighties... of which I know practically nothing, though devoted fans apparently exist.

Also: one or other of the two (I *think* it was Hendrie) had a play on R4 a few weeks ago. The blerb for this described him as "Oscar-winning", with absolutely no attempt to be any more specific. Anybody know what that's all about?

He did a short featuring Lenny Henry called "Work Experience" that did win an award, I think, but that would be at least 10 years back.

I've got "Fall of TMC" on tape, though it wasn't very good. The original was very good however.
