You'd think so, wouldn't you? But you'd be wrong.
You'd miss the excitement of scrolling down after each 'refresh'. Heady stuff. That's really living, that is.
>Wouldn't it be better if new topics appeared at the top of the list rather than at the bottom?
Ah, but then 'Best Local TV Programme' wouldn't be at the top any more. And we couldn't have that!
But what about if new postings appeared at the top of an individual thread so that I don't have to wait for the whole thing to load?
Yes, we could have that.
There is NO SUCH THING as a good local TV programme.
This is an age old debate and to be honest, this post is going to add nothing to it.
Thank you.
Didn't Herring post this as a subject way back in the early days of SOTCAA in the first place? Why doesn't he just mail Rob S about it, as Rob's the only one who can change it, and Rob works for Herring, at least for his web site, in the first place..
Steven - I see. You don't get my sense of humour in any medium!
Though I agree my postings were much funny back in SOTCAA. I've gone off the boil.
Rob does not work for me. I work for him.
Hehe.. I'm still confused, I still don't get the joke. To go back to that horrid argument I was having with you about TGP, I thought the latest episode was the worst one yet. While I don't want to give you a load of shit about it because I think you're a nice man I wanted to know if you could perhaps post the best episode you've written in script form to the new SOTCAA when it comes back, or something. I wan't to see what makes you love this work you're doing so much, maybe it's the performance I don't like, I dunno. When the hell is SOTCAA coming back, why is it taking so long for them to find a bit of web space? It's quite ludicrous..
Moving away from TGP or SOTCAA for a moment, and back to the question posed....
... I would suggest that this is a sensible way of conducting the site - as it encourages contributors/viewers to review past (yet not dead) threads, thus keeping some life in the strands. As opposed to entering the last posted strand, and potentially focusing contributors/viewers to the latest (and not necessarily the best) strands.
You see Steven I think that show was the best one yet by miles. So I don't think we need to continue the conversation and I suggest you stop watching, cos it's only going to get worse for you, I suspect. Like I say, there's not point in carrying on the conversation and I'm not interested in sending you a script. You can buy the book of them when it comes out
Is there a TGP book in the pipeline?
Hmm, ok, I understand. I just remember the Corpses were saying they were gonna do a big Time Gentlemen Please piece on their next update, so I thought that would be good to add to it. I want to ask a lot more questions about the series, but I won't for obvious reasons, because they are mostly negative. I really did hope I would like the series, each episode I hope it will just click for me and I will like it, but it just doesn't happen, obviously I'm just one person who doesn't like it, and I'm sure there a lot of other people on this board who do like it, so as long as you make them happy then that's your main concern. I just feel left out *cries* (plays tiniest violin in the world).
>Is there a TGP book in the pipeline?
Rod, is there a new series of Emu's World in the pipeline?
The last episode of Time Gentlemen Please made my parents laugh. This is no mean feat, believe me. Although they think it is like Bottom, presumably because it has a bald man who talks a bit funny in it.
Parents, eh? Who'd have them?
I think the topics should be automatically sorted into categories such as 'Whiny', 'Long Words', 'Wish I Wrote the TV Reviews in the NME' and 'Misc.'
And idents.
>Wouldn't it be better if new topics appeared at the top of the list rather than at the bottom?
Oddly enough, this piece of mindful questioning is far funnier than any of the topical observations on the 11 O'Clock Show.
