Belle and Sebastian on Food and Drink Posted Wed Oct 18 10:53:13 BST 2000 by 'Supra Gnat'

Did anyone see Food and Drink a week or so ago "Seeing Other People" from IYF Sinister was used as a background track to some chef chopping vegetables? They just had the opening piano bit looping and it never got to the vocals (probably just as well as they are not particulary related to cookery).Strangely the music didn't sound totally out of place, although I was filled with a sense of unease and dread which I cannot really explain.

It just goes to show that if you use the copy and paste method of editing a message when you don't like its structure you really ought to read it back through to see if it still make sense before you post it. Oh well, I hope you can still get the gist of what I was trying to say.

When I saw the title I thought you meant the band had been guests on the popular cookery show. Or perhaps that they had been put forward as a meal suggestion ("Try a casserole of Scottish folk-indie-rock singer-songwriters... stuff thoroughly and leave at gas mark 7 until the whining has stopped...." And so on.)
