Catchphrases Posted Sat Oct 14 15:11:07 BST 2000 by 'Angelmouse'

It's interesting how catchphrases arise. Some are obviously intended as such from the start (c.f. The Fast Show) and some evolve spontaneously ("combant pants" on Mark Radcliffe).

I have to say that my favourite catchphrases at the momemnt are "IDENTS!" and "EVILE CLOWNE WHERE R YOUU"

Can I just be first to say that I prefered Gas Bottle et al when they were in the TV Forum and before they did TV, Radio, the inevitable Hollywood epics and a rubbish Xmas cash-in book?

So was darts. And indoor Boules.

And if I hear 'are you local?' or 'this week, I have been mostly eating..' one more time, I'm afraid it'll be firearms....

I've seen an advance copy of the Clown & Gas Bottle Christmas Annual 2001, and it's briliant! Name That Logo, Make Your Own Grampian Ident, How to Identify Nele Morisey... fun for all fans!

The cartoon about Daisy Donovan crosses the taste barrier, however. W.H Smiths definitely won't stock it because of that. I mean, honestly, it's a pretty sick way to get a cheap laugh out of the expression "in the pink"...
