Is the BBC Hard up for cash ?

Whilst watching 'Top of the Pops' tonight, I noticed that the BBC now dressess it's sets in that cheap old tin foil strips - basically covering up sets that have not been actually changed in the last 5 years....
Are they that hard up for a bit of cash ?

Well they haven't recommissioned Lee and Herring, nor did they take up Al Murray's original idea for "Time Gentlemen Pleas" - so I would assume, yes, they have no money. They'll have to start charging us more for our license no doubt.... because they don't make money elsewhere... hmmmmmmmm...
