Settle an argument please:

did Les Dennis (Fam Fortune/Amanda Holden) fame used to be part of a comedy duo - and his partner died?

If not, who the hell am I thinking of?

Please help a confused me!

Yepper. Les Dennis was the late Dustin Gee's(?) comedy partner. They both had really bad mullets and wore awful suits. Then DG died, in the 80s I think.

Dustin Gee used to be able to roll his eyes independently of each other. As far as I can remember, that was pretty much his act. His only other lasting legacy to Light Entertainment is that people forever get his name mixed up with Dusty Binn. He died not a moment too soon. Sorry Les.

Incidentally, what would EEVL CLWON and EEVL SAG BOITTL's Radio 4 series sound like? Would both presenters be screaming unintelligibly directly into the mike all the time? Or would it be punctuated with low growling noises? Evil atmospherics by the Radiophonic Workshop? Or just recorded in a crowded shopping centre with a dictaphone? Come on, we need a format here...

I think it should be a fast-paced show, with lots of separate sketches, so they can fit in all their various catch-phrases. Maybe they should call it the Fast Show.

(gasps in realisation) Maybe CLONWE and AGS BTOTLLE are Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson?
