anyone 'member a 70s french canadian film called 'the christmas martian'. it was a sort of E.T./Goodies hybrid (not another one) with lots of skidoos and stuff.

I think I've seen it. Is it the one where the camera pans past a flying saucer which is supposed to be moving but is quite clearly supported from below by a metal stick? There may also have been a costume changing alien of some kind. Very bad dubbing. God, this is starting to sound like TV Cream.

that's the one. i remember said martiao wearing a sigue-sigue-sputnik type ripped fishnet mask and a machine on his spaceship that spewed out smarties (or "candy" in his weird otherworldly tongue)

anyone remember the thirteenth episode of fawlty towers? the xmas one? it started with manuel helping basil put decorations on the tree, and then (i think) they went to spain to stay with manuel's family...
