I get to post first. Wahey!
Anyway, I'm glad the forum's back, coz I really missed it.
Now, the question is, who's going to start the first new thread?
You might not know that all of the (or at least recent) old threads are under 'Old Topics'. Posting a reply will bring them back!
Why aren't the account names in red anymore?
*weeps*
It's back!! Oh Happy Day!!
<jumps up and down>
Who wants cake?
A celebratory piece for me please.
No mince, thank you.
*beems*
There y'are Arma, a nice big piece of choccy cake, with extra pickle!
...er, nothing with almonds in please, I'm allergic to nuts. And sport, which is why all I've been watching for the past few weeks has been tapes of old stuff.
Haven't even had that option, had to bin my VCR! *cries* Thank the Lord for DVD!!
Righto Jake, I have Pizzacake or Jam and Onion cake, do you want mint sauce with that?!
Pickle is good.
I;ll have something that doesn't have ot be chewed.
Yes, i got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday, and i feel like crap warmed over gently.
and my painkillers make me irritable, so i'd just like to say: rob, i had no idea you could be so f'ing _snide_. Cheers for replying to my e-mails, thou... oh, no, you didn't bother.
I wasn't replying to anyone who was asking about the closure, it wouldn't of been sensible and would risk causing a lot more trouble.
i don't recall asking anything about the closure.
let me see in my Sent Items box... no, one asking if you needed a hug, and one obituary. if you took that as "asking about the closure", then your group of "people who are evil scum for speculating" must be somewhwree near to 100% of the people that care about the forum. Either that, or you're on the same pretty pills as i am. Yay, allucinations.
Here y'are subbes, have some mashed up carrot with a sprinkling of mini mallows. Tasty, and won't hurt your teeth.
Pills....pills! where are they...need tehme orai willl waloisee controla of hwoh iammmm.argh!
Is there anything we can do to help with the new home for SOTCAA, like providing/helping to pay for webspace?
Oh, and "social climbing" - how effing low down would you have to be to use this place as a rung?
I'm sure you know already, Ewar.
Sorry Suiii, I physically can't swallow anything other than water, and maybe something like coke. On the plus side, the whole "can't walk... will fall over" effect is interesting.
New to TV Forum, but heard loads about it on L&H - like what I see. But what about this SOTCAA (or whatever the initials are?). What's it all about Alfie? Need to know...
I feel 'fake' with my name surrounded by those things - oh well.
*sheep cheers and jumps about*
It's been a sad few weeks without the forum.
Ah, there you are...
subbes - what are you flubbering on about now, you witless bint?
>let me see in my Sent Items box... no, one asking if you needed a hug, and one obituary.
Checking my inbox, all I've got is your obituary (to which there isn't anything I can reply) and the 'hug' email which has come out garbled and looks like a forward. Please bear in mind I have been receiving a large number of emails asking me what's going on, so it's hardly surprising I can now get some mixed up... now I appreciate you're not feeling very well at the moment subbes, but so far your behaviour is very confrontational. What's the deal with invented quote ("people who are evil scum for speculating") for example? You don't know the full facts of the situation, so why are you supporting a group you don't even know? I can tell you that the people I was referring to in my first message do not care about this website, only their own personal status.
Lordy, this stuff is complicated... fantastic to have the Forum back though.
Yeeeeee! Haaaaaaa!
Yeeeeee! Haaaaaaa!
Yeeeeee! Haaaaaaa!
I'm cancelling my night out just to read this.
Thanks to Arma for posting it on the ezboard tvforum
Whoops! Did I not do that? I only did it on the eGroup, sorry RB! Have a Cadburys Mini Roll!
I did it on your ezboard, Suiii
No more food - stuffed full as a pheasant
Pheasant eh? Better watch out, a poacher might shoot you!
It's great that the Forum is back, Rob. And even better is the news that SOTCAA will be returning. It's such a great resource.
> the 'hug' email which has come out garbled and looks like a forward.
's not my fault it's garbled, it was fine when I sent it. you've not been using Eudora again, have you? i thought you'd quit.
>What's the deal with invented quote ("people who are evil scum for speculating") for example?
I was taking your words and putting my own spin on them. Lawd knows you're never confrontational, but it seemed you were doing your best to be "nice" to "evil" people. Quote parks put in because I felt like it, really.
> You don't know the full facts of the situation, so why are you supporting a group you don't even know?
There wasn't any "support" anywhere for any groups that I can see. Unless I got very confused. Tell me if you see any postings about yellow elephants, then we'll both know I've flipped.
>I can tell you that the people I was referring to in my first message do not care about this website, only their own personal status.
Naughty people. naughty evil people.
>subbes - what are you flubbering on about now, you witless bint?
You even care? Get knotted, you hag.
I've definitely had too much Demerol.
>>What's the deal with invented quote ("people who are evil scum for speculating") for example?
Right, yes, time to rearrange my words so they sound better. it was'nt a quote, nope, never ever ever. just since it was a label for a box of people (can you put more than one person in a box, i wonder? maybe if it's a big box, the size of a room or something. But I don't think cardboard would be strong enough, you'd have to make it out of plasterboard... then it would definitely just be a room, not a box. Hmmm.) and would best be put in quotes.
Anyway., i can't remember anythoing anyone says long enough to quote it, apart from the "ribbet" things, whuch you've stopped doing. why, man? Don't kill the frog.
I love painkillers.
>>subbes - what are you flubbering on about now, you witless bint?
>You even care? Get knotted, you hag.
Actually, I now call Ewar's bluff by inviting her to take this off-forum. bet she won't do it.
[email protected]
subbes! Ewar! please let's have no more fighting and bickering!
Yes, let's take it off-forum.
Jets To Brazil - 'Little Light'
oh poo, that wasn't meant for this thread...
"I can tell you that the people I was referring to in my first message do not care about this website, only their own personal status."
Yes, yes, never mind about that, what about my red name? It made me feel important.
Jon, I second that!
Rob, can't we have our red names back? Pleeeeease?!
All the ' ' business makes it more difficult to read... Well, I think so anyway...
HOORAY HOORAY AND HOORAY AGAIN!
My sad and pathetic life in generation X now has meaning. (not joking)
T H E F O R U M I S B A C K.
oh yeah, old news.
anyway is central coming back tommorow? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, yes Rob, I don't understand why this forum's gone all cakeshop-py... unless when you deleted the cgi for this one, you forgot to have a backup copy of everything and... oh. Oh dear, did no-one tell you to always back everything up??
Cakeshoppy??
the cakeshop has the quote-thing going on as well, since he removed the rednames. i quite liked having rednames, made me feel all special.
Ah that! Sorry, bad day thought-wise! Still, I'm now the proud owner of a 17 piece craft knife set, with laaarvly purple handles, 17 knives, for a pound!
A pound of what, though? flesh?
stop it, miss cheeky. Suiii isn't that sort of girl....?
Exactly! I'm a gooooood girl!
17 knives for one pound of the Realm! Those 'Superpound' shops will be my ruin. Today I purchased the knives, 2 cat litter trays (I have no cat), a milkshake machine (ingenious!) and a bag of assorted nails! (bang bang!) Maaaarvellous!
You've got some kind of shopping addiction, right?
..though they could be rabbit-litter-trays...
Oooh! I bought a tarpaulin too!! Yeah, shopping cheers me up, shiiiny kniiives! And I am using the litter trays for Monsieur Herbert J. Buns. I'm sick of cleaning that Bunny Bungalow out with a spade, too many spiders!!
What a lovely image. very... rustic.
"Bunny Bungalow"?
Indeed!! Monsieur Herbert cannot be expected to live in a common hutch! He has a spacious Bunny Bungalow, (with a proper triangular roof and everything!) 12 hours of running about time in the garden everyday, a selection of toys, and his very own potplants which grow outside his bungalow, for him to nibble on as he chooses! He truly is the worlds most spoilt rabeet!!
Here's an idea. How's about the normal blokes who had red name accounts have their names in *white* bold, and Rob S and the Corpses (when they return) in *red* bold.
Congratulations on your perseverance Rob.
Glad to have the forum back, especially as I'd only just discovered it. Looking forward to the return of SOTCAA as I hadn't had a chance to eJanetven look at the bloody thing.
hwah?
whats ejanetvan, Janet?
I shouldn't really ......... early...... still at work.......
Hmmm, I seem to have invented a form of pig Latin where my name must be incorporated into adverbs.
It's a good word, ejanetven if it was an accident.
Join in, anyone can do it Sajanetm
I'll give it a go Jasamnet. Hmm, sounds like someone who would have contributed at some point on a World of Skin album.
If only I was familiar with that musical act I'd agree with you, then continue on with some hilarious quip. But I don't. Darn.
Hopefully somebody else will suggest we put on a show about the grafting of both our names into other words. It could be called "Sam and Janet Evening".
(Say it our loud and it works)
"Sam and Janet Evening" is fantastic! Excellent pun!
World of Skin is/ was some Swans spin-off featuring Michael Gira and Jabo.. Ten Songs for Another World (or something)is a fine album (or it is if you're a sad old goth. Like me.).
