Brass Eye repeat

Myself and Jon went to see The Fall at Royal Festival Hall tonight. On spotting Chris Morris, we cornered him at the bar and demanded news of repeats of 'Brass Eye'.
Apparently he has had great difficulty making the whole show hang together with the inevitable clearance problems, such as the Noel Edmonds interview and other litigation loving guest stars. The editing is, as a result, a tricky matter. He has reinstated material and removed nothing (he promised) but awaits a suitable slot. Michael Jackson is very sympathetic to Morris and wants to show it at the best time. We wait and wait...
He also said the stories in glossy mags of a repeat in early 1998 were utter cobblers. This was never on the cards.
Just to let you know,
BEnt

Cheers BH, you're a star.
Looks as though the stories about it being clearance hassles rather than censorship ones were true after all. Glad I believed them.
And if Edmonds and co didn't want it repeated, then they shouldn't have done it in the first place. They'll get no sympathy from me.

Absolutely. Can't wait - especially as I don't have episode 6....
Incidentally, I know it's easily available on sell-through video, but why on earth has The Day Today not been repeated since February 1995? Given BBC2's keeness in repeating Have I Got Newses and Buzzcocks for absolutely no good reason, it's about time.

They did repeat little bits of it didn't they? Hidden away in a schedule somewhere.
Yes, they should repeat it. Instead of Gimme Gimme Gimme. Or perhaps put it on UK Gold. Or UK Play. Or BBC Choice....

Thanks BH for the info. (and Jon for the email).
Pity about the censorship and litigation issues - interesting to note that Mr Edmonds enjoys making fools of others, but hates it when the tables are turned......and that is so sad as his contribution was so highly enjoyable ;)
