I love 1978 !! Posted Sat Sep 16 23:28:32 BST 2000 by Harry Potter

I thought I'd start this one off!

Lynda Carter doesn't look too bad 22 years later, unless it's all make up!

Where did they find Terry Christian from?
Where has he been hiding since 'The Word'?

Has Jamie Theakston taken over from Julie Burchill as most annoying contributer to the series?

Did anybody else buy all the Blakes 7 videos, then found UK Gold starting to repeat them a few years back?

I bought most of them. Only watched them once mind!

How come they didn't include a clip of Hylda Baker & Arthur Mullard doing their Grease song, as a comparison?

I refer the honorable young wizard to my response in the Night of a Thousand Stars thread.

With respect

I meant this is a "sensing Lord Voldermort" kinda way. I'm not really a sado-masochist.

I thought the Blake's Seven bit could have been worse, but it was annoying that no-one commented on either:
a) the series' very 70s grimness. Having watched them all again recently they make a fascinating counterpoint to Dr Who. Highly political where Who was not, and very dark and cynical.
b) the excellent scripts. Some of the interplay between Blake and Avon, and Avon and Vila was worth seeing again, surely?
Still at least it got mentioned. And Theakston's habit of stating the bleeding obvious has gone past annoying into the realms of hilarious. What's wrong with him? Is he an alcoholic? Prematurely senile? Or what?

Radcliffe was quietly amusing, though, on the whole. Why wasn't he presenting the whole series?

He is beginning to resemble Paul Heaton, though.
