Rubbish R4 comedy series from the mid-90s, written and performed by a tiresome semi-professional Yorkshireman who had a run of doing a few shows on R4 at the time. Who was he? Anyone else remember/was a big fan of this?

The Young Post*men*, 1992, by Ben Miller (now of Armstrong & Miller), a semi-amateur person-from-Cheshire. In my opinion (and several others') actually a complex and very funny programme, but with a strange and unfortunate tendency to fall flat at first hearing -- it needs time to work its charm. Other than that, spot on.

More details on me website as per the usual arrangement. I wouldn't call the programme "obscure", exactly, but it's the first case where I've had a request for tapes of a show from the bloke who wrote it...
