Well, her career continues. She's going to be in My Family, the new BBC1 vehicle for Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker, starting next week. Of course she'll be hopeless.

But I'll be watching. I have a soft spot for the Wanamaker...

She's also doing a couple of documentaries for Talkback. One entitled something like 'Daisy Does Batchelors' where she goes around the world and interviews eligible batchelors. She doesn't need one of course. She's going out with Dan Mazer (11 O'Clock Show VT producer, Ali G producer and co-writer and now a major player on E4, Channel 4's new digital channel).

I saw Dan Mazer dying on his arse doing stand-up once.

What, you mean acting and stuff?!? How the hell did she get that, just on the 'strength' of 11OCS? Disgraceful.

And as if Daisy Donovan appearing on our screens again wasn't bad enough...
Radio Times for Friday 22nd Sept, Ch4:
"11.05 MEET RICKY GERVAIS
First in a new six-part series of late night chat shows hosted by Ricky Gervais, who likes to ask celebrities unconventional questions. His first guest is broadcaster Jimmy Savile"
Nooooooooooooooooo!
How many horrifying things can appear in just one paragraph?
1.RICKY GERVAIS. I was amazed at the number of people praising this man on the recent-ish thread about him. From what I saw of his contributions to the 11OCS he was startlingly unfunny.
2."six-part". Maybe I should give it a chance first, but I'm tempted to say that that's six-parts too many.
3."unconventional questions". Annoying Radio Times-ism. I just find this a bit grating. It's as if to say:"Woo-hoo, watch out! We've got a bit of a live-wire here! Oo-err missus!"
4.Jimmy Savile. Even though I know that the HIGNFY transcript was a fake, after having seen "When Louis met...", I can't help finding him somewhat creepy. I can't see this interview being anything other than squirm-inducing.

OK, rant over. Sorry if it was a bit incoherent, but it's late, and I'm tired. Please, someone, contradict me. Explain to me the wonders of Mr Gervais.

Oh, and sorry about the red name. Don't want to seem as if I think I'm special or anything, but I got it when I discovered that I couldn't post on the L+H guestbook.
Just wanted to see if it worked. How do I get it to link to my e-mail address? Do I have to ask Rob S again?

I have no idea what he's like, as I could never manage to watch enough of the show to find out.

Cheers, Sam. That's one mystery cleared up, then.

Saw an advert for RG's show today. He was throwing some kind of foodstuff at an old lady. Oh dear.
Anyway, nobody seems to have risen to the challenge yet. Can anyone persuade me that I should give this programme a chance? Someone name an endearing quality that Ricky Gervais posesses...

Anyone?

Of *course* I can't.

Maybe *I* should put on five stone, grow a goatee and be a tosser. Well, one out of three isn't bad...
